The Atlanta Falcons are looking for former New York Jets coach Todd Bowles, according to Pro Football Talk.
According to a league source, the Falcons will interview Bowles next week for the vacant position of chief coach. … Bowles has reunited with Bruce Arians in Tampa for the past two seasons. The team’s defense has become an underestimated strength of the team, given the amount of focus on efforts to take the attack to the next level with the addition of players like (Tom) Brady, from the tight end Rob Gronkowskiand receiver Antonio Brown.
The Falcons fired coach Dan Quinn in October, with Raheem Morris ending the season as an interim coach.
Bowles was the Jets’ head coach from 2015 to 2018, going from 24 to 40. He was on the sideline the last time the Jets had a winning record, going 10-6 in 2015.
