There is much speculation that Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz is about to be negotiated. For whom? No one is absolutely sure, but it may not be as fast as we thought it would happen.
NFL reporter Mike Garafolo said a deal involving Wentz was unlikely to take place on Monday.

“I think a lot of people thought, ‘Okay, the Super Bowl is going to end and, in the morning, that exchange will be over,'” said Garafolo. “I called everyone involved in this case and was told this morning that nothing is imminent. The Eagles are basically waiting for an offer that they think is worth switching to Carson Wentz. “
Garafolo added that the two teams previously mentioned as potential destinations for Wentz, the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts, are still very interested in acquiring Wentz, but were not willing to pay the starting price that the Eagles were looking for.
“The Bears and Colts are among the teams involved,” said Garafolo. “I was informed that there are more teams involved. I will also say that the Bears and Colts have other defenders that they are keeping an eye on, so there are a lot of moving parts and a lot of chess and poker being played here. I can’t really put that on a deadline here. I think it is negotiated. I can’t say how quickly, but it can be relatively fast. “
Garafolo also said that there is an unlikely scenario that can occur in this situation.
“I don’t think it’s likely, but one of the options that is still at stake is that they don’t get an offer they deem worthy and say, ‘Okay, Carson Wentz, report to the training ground,'” said Garafolo. “I believe that in the end it will be negotiated and they will receive an offer that will separate them from Wentz.”
