The free NFL agency begins with the legal adulteration period on Monday, March 15. That’s when Cleveland Browns GM Andrew Berry and his team can officially start negotiating contracts with free agents from other teams and agree to the player signing terms.

Signed free agents
Players who are unrestricted free agents cannot officially sign in until Wednesday. March 17th. However, players who were discharged by their former teams after the end of the season can sign up at any time.

Free agency exits
Again, the agreements cannot be officially signed until March 17 and the reports on signatures and agreements are not finalized until that time. Players that the Browns launched after the end of the season, like Adrian Clayborn, are free to sign at any time.
