Newsmax segment with MyPillow’s Mike Lindell ends at anchor losing control over electoral fraud claims

A segment of “social media censorship” on Tuesday at Newsmax ended dramatically when MyPillow founder and ardent supporter of President Donald Trump, Mike Lindell, protested election fraud until one of the anchors left the set.

One of the anchors for Newsmax’s live broadcast, Bob Sellers, called on the show’s producers “can we get out of here, please?”, After asking Lindell whether he should be permanently or temporarily banned from Twitter. Instead of answering the question, Lindell launched a speech about electronic ballot fraud and other false conspiracies that put several TV networks in legal trouble at the end of last year. The vendors could be seen removing their microphones and physically leaving the set while Lindell continued to scream.

Newsmax anchors then read a warning that sought to counter Lindell’s wide range of electoral conspiracies about President Joe Biden’s victory being “illegitimate”. Lindell said his personal Twitter account and MyPillow business account were withdrawn because he has “100 percent proof” of electoral fraud during the 2020 presidential election.

Salespeople interrupted Lindell’s speech to tell viewers “you’re talking about machines that we, at Newsmax, haven’t been able to verify any of these types of claims, nothing substantive here.” The anchor then read a disclaimer that many TV network figures, including Fox News presenter Jeanine Pirro and Fox Business presenter Lou Dobbs, were forced to read after being ordered to cease and desist from Smartmatic. Lindell tried to talk about Sellers reading the disclaimer and seemed to accuse him of maintaining the “status quo” line.

“While there was some evidence of clear electoral fraud and electoral irregularities, the election results in all states have been certified and Newsmax accepts the results as legal and final and the courts have also supported this view,” Sellers said in the notice.

Sellers then reminded Lindell that he was invited to discuss “cancel the culture, if you like, Mike”, but the CEO of MyPillow continued to spread false conspiracy theories about widespread electoral fraud by companies like Smartmatic. OANN, another Trump-friendly TV network, was also forced to read similar statements in the weeks following Biden’s victory.
