The pro-Trump Newsmax network on Tuesday cut off the microphone of Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow, after he started amplifying false conspiracy theories about the 2020 election while on the air.

On Monday, Twitter permanently banned the MyPillow account after Lindell used it to try to circumvent its own previous ban on the platform.

During the interview with Newsmax, Lindell began to say that he was being “canceled” because he had evidence of electoral fraud.

“Well, mine was withdrawn first because we have all the electoral fraud with these Dominion machines. We have 100% proof, and then, when they retired -” Lindell started before the anchor, Bob Sellers, interrupted him.

“Mike, you are talking about machines, which we at Newsmax have not been able to verify any of these types of claims. We just want people to know that there is nothing significant that we saw. And let me read you something,” Sellers said while looking down to read a statement.

“Although there was some clear evidence of some cases of electoral fraud and electoral irregularities, the election results in all states have been certified, and Newsmax accepts the results as legal and final,” said the anchor. “The courts also supported this view.”

While Sellers was reading the statement, Lindell intervened to accuse the network of “suppressing” the story. The salespeople then tried to divert the conversation into a discussion of “culture cancellation” and asked Lindell if he expected the Twitter ban to be temporary rather than permanent.

But Lindell returned to airing groundless conspiracy theories, claiming that Dominion Voting Systems conspired with Democrats to illegally change Donald Trump’s votes for Joe Biden in the November election.

The allegation was largely dismissed and prompted Dominion and its rival election technology company Smartmatic to sue or threaten to sue right-wing media networks and prominent conspirators aligned with Trump for defamation allegations. In the midst of legal threats, Newsmax released a lengthy clarification in December acknowledging that it had “no evidence” of the strange allegations.

When Lindell reappeared the charges during Tuesday’s segment, Sellers interrupted him and asked producers to end the segment.

“Okay, Mike, can I ask our producers – can we get out of here, please?” Sellers said. “I don’t want to keep thinking about it.”

He then stood up and seemed to leave the set.
