New Yorkers tell the serial killer suspect to ‘rot in hell!’ when he leaves the NYPD station

Handyman and alleged serial killer Kevin Gavin was assaulted with insults while being escorted by detectives out of a Brownsville, Brooklyn police station on Thursday night. “You are going to rot in hell, sir,” shouted a woman.

“Look at him! Look at him! He’s old! He’s also old,” she gasped.

Gavin, 66, allegedly killed three elderly women at Brownsville Woodson Houses.

His first death was in 2015, the second in 2019 and the third on Friday, the NYPD said in announcing his arrest on Thursday.

He was removed from the 73rd Police Station on Thursday night by two detectives – keeping his head down and saying nothing.

He shuffled his feet as if he too was fragile and condemned as his alleged victims.

Gavin, who sources said he confessed to killing the women when they did not pay him, has had eight previous arrests for criminal theft and sale and possession of a controlled substance, police said. The most recent was possession of a controlled substance in 2010.

He was being taken to be charged and charged with the three murders, but New York Police Chief Detective Rodney Harrison said an investigation was underway to see if that was the extent of his alleged binge.
