New York Yankees News: Domingo Germán crosses again

NY Post | Dan Martin: Domingo Germán’s entry into the Yankees’ camp may have been more difficult than the team expected, but his results on some spring training entries were a bed of roses. Germán ended his second match in the pre-season, leaving three more goalless to accompany Deivi García in the competition for the fifth starter.

NJ.com | Randy Miller: Zack Britton will unfortunately be on the shelf at the start of the season, but he is seeing the bright side of things in his first comments since the surgery. Britton noted that while there is not a perfectly clear timetable for his return at the moment, he is expected to be back during the season and anticipates going into games for some important entries. With that in mind, Britton can start the slow build back to being one of the most effective relievers in the game.

NY Daily News | Kristie Ackert: Luke Voit did not play the game at home against Pirates on Tuesday, sitting with what coach Aaron Boone called “a little knee pain”. Boone added that he did not think it was a serious problem and did not think the first baseman would be gone for long. (Sure enough, after the game on Wednesday, Boone said that Voit would DH on Thursday.) Voit played with plantar fasciitis most of last season, but still managed to lead the league in home runs.
