The teenager said he was buying a birthday present for his mother at Queens Center Mall around 4 pm Tuesday, when dozens of teenagers who rode their bikes randomly attacked two vehicles along Fifth Avenue, first a yellow taxi on 29th Street, then a BMW SUV on 21st Street.

“It was my mother’s birthday. I was buying her a gift, a sweater and shoes,” said Valle, who showed The Post a receipt for the mall’s Footaction shoe with a 3:49 pm time stamp.

Valle said he showed the same receipt to the police, who was not convinced.

The teenager’s father, Oscar Valle, said the police showed images of a young man at the crime scene who they said was the youngest of their three children.

Added Geovanni, holding the photo of the suspect close to his own face, “I don’t think it looks like me.”

Valle was released on Thursday from juvenile custody to await a virtual appearance in the family court.
