New York striker punched a man in the face and spat anti-Asian slanders

A racist assailant punched a man in the face in Harlem last month – and threw anti-Asian slurs at him during the attack, the NYPD said on Sunday.

The unidentified suspect walked up to a 27-year-old man near Fred Samuel Park on Lenox Avenue near 140th Street at about 10 pm on February 15 and pushed him away, police said.

The victim then asked his attacker why he pushed him, and the suspect responded by punching him in the face and shouting anti-Asian slanders at him, police said.

The suspect fled towards 139th street, according to the police.

The assailant was last seen wearing a black jacket, black cap and black bandana that he wore as a face mask, images released by the NYPD program.

He is still at large, police said.
