New York State Democratic Congressman Ron Kim said on Tuesday that he felt “enlightened” when he saw CNN anchor Chris Cuomo conducting fun air interviews with his brother, Governor Andrew Cuomo, while the death toll increased in health centers in New York.
“I was on the floor, shouting at my constituents that they couldn’t see their loved ones, that they knew COVID was broadcasting, and they were literally watching their loved ones die of agony and pain alone, without a funeral,” Kim told Fox Fox America “host Jimmy Failla on Fox News Radio.
“I turned on the TV and saw his brother [Chris Cuomo] and Andrew telling jokes. I stopped watching TV for six months, “recalls Kim.” I couldn’t take it because I sometimes felt like I was on fire and thought, ‘Am I living in another reality? What is happening?'”
Kim, who represents part of Queens, is one of several Democrats who have criticized Cuomo’s order that requires health facilities to accept coronavirus-positive patients released from hospitals. The directive was enacted on March 25 last year and terminated in May.

His comments came a day after Chris Cuomo told viewers of “Cuomo Prime Time” that he would not cover the growing sexual harassment scandal surrounding the governor of New York.
The young Cuomo faces an intense reaction for repeatedly offering Andrew a platform on his CNN program to lure viewers through softball conversations on the air, largely ignoring the 15,000 elderly people who died in New York’s nursing homes.

“I literally felt so demoralized and my voters, I had a re-election, they kept saying to me, ‘Don’t attack the governor. He’s voting at 80%, 90%. You will lose your re-election if you attack the governor, ‘”said Kim.

“I didn’t care because people were dying. People needed justice, people needed the truth. And it wasn’t just me. There were many other courageous and courageous civil servants who spoke at the same time. But how do you compete when you have a brother on CNN covering every night on national TV? “
