New York Jets must fire Adam Gase after the end of the season, according to the report

As Buffalo Bills fans, we really like Adam Gase. First with the Miami Dolphins, then with the New York Jets, Gase has accumulated a record 32-47 in the past five seasons. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported on Saturday, that the Jets must fire Gase after the game of Week 17. Too bad.

Gase, the author of the game for his teams, finished no better than 24 in yards and 17 in points in his five seasons at AFC East, and was 2-6 in his last four years against Buffalo Bills. (Charles Clay gave Josh Allen a buzzer pass and the Bills were resting their holders in those two wins.) Gase failed to develop Ryan Tannehill, who flourished in Tennessee without Gase, and Sam Darnold, one of the top three.

The New England Patriots have 20 years of stability as a coach with Bill Belichick and the Bills have had four years plus a new contract extension for Sean McDermott. Brian Flores of the Miami Dolphins was hired last year but has already improved Gase’s record as the Dolphins’ head coach. Flores and McDermott are the top contenders for the NFL Coach of the Year award this season.

See you later, sweet prince.
