New York Giants considered favorites to sign Adoree Jackson

The New York Giants met with free agent Adoree Jackson’s cornerback on Sunday night and that meeting is expected to continue on Monday.

While in town, Jackson was taken to dinner, where he met his friend and former teammate, Logan Ryan. He also heard recruiting pitches from safety Jabrill Peppers, cornerback Darnay Holmes, wide receiver John Ross and others.

Although there is no deal in place yet, ESPN’s Jordan Shultz reports that the Giants have placed “high priority” on Jackson, while ESPN’s Jordan Raanan lists them as favorites.

Meanwhile, Jackson’s agent, Polo Kerber, tweaked Instagram a bit, telling Giants fans to “wait” with a “shush” emoji.

Other social media detectives also pointed out that Jackson followed several Giants players on Instagram, including strikers Leonard Williams and Austin Johnson, cornerback Quincy Wilson, wide receiver Dante Pettis and, of course, Ryan, Holmes and Peppers.

What does all this mean? Maybe nothing, but maybe something.

Anyway, the deal hasn’t closed yet and the Giants still have a lot of work to do. If Jackson is allowed to leave the building without a contract in hand, he will meet the Philadelphia Eagles next. The Arizona Cardinals are also emerging.
