The service was suspended on Monday afternoon, as teams worked to remove snow from the elevated tracks.
Authorities were predicting some delays today.

New York public schools will all remain remote on Tuesday after face-to-face learning was suspended on Monday. Elementary school students will resume face-to-face learning on Wednesday.
Catholic elementary schools in the New York archdiocese will remain closed on Tuesday, another “traditional snow day” without remote learning.
The high schools in the archdiocese operate independently, so high school families need to follow their schools’ instructions.
The city canceled all COVID-19 vaccinations scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, and the food distribution and bridges learning program for schools were canceled on Monday.
“The last thing we want to do is to urge our veterans to go out in the middle of a storm like this,” said de Blasio. “Does not make sense.”
Vaccinations are due to resume on Wednesday.
Outdoor dining will resume at the city’s restaurants starting at 3pm on Tuesday.

Outdoor dining was suspended during the storm, with some restaurants leaving their heaters on to melt snow.
Others removed the roofs from their structures, fearing they would collapse under the weight of the snow.
The city continues to depend on New Yorkers to stay off the road as they dig up.
“Give everyone in the Sanitation Department the ability to do their job out of their way,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio. “It is overwhelming … in all five districts New Yorkers are taking this call, they are staying at home, they are away from the streets. This is good. Keep doing this until it is over.”
As for the MTA buses, they are operating with a reduced schedule today, 75% of normal.
Passengers are advised to give themselves more time if they have to leave.
Alternative side parking was suspended for the rest of the week.
