New Year’s Eve storm to move in the USA with heavy snow, strong winds and storms

Much snow is expected to fall on the western, midwest and southern plains.

A record 18.4-inch daily snowfall was recorded on Saturday at Buffalo International Airport.

In addition, up to 14 inches of snow fell in western Pennsylvania, not far from Erie, and up to 13.5 inches in the Cleveland metropolitan area in recent days.

A few inches of snow are expected to fall on Sunday morning over western New York. The lake-effect snow will end later, as the winds change and the cold air comes out.

The temperature is expected to be close to 40 degrees and it will rain in Buffalo on Monday.

Cold weather extended to Florida, where freeze warnings were issued. Sunday is the last morning on which the South will experience chills.

A new storm will cross the country, just like last week, from California to New York, with heavy rain, snow, ice and strong winds.

On Sunday night, the storm will hit San Francisco and Los Angeles with heavy rains, gusts of wind and snow in the mountains.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the storm will move to the center of the United States with heavy snow in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Heavy rain is expected to fall along the Mississippi River Valley, and severe to severe storms are possible in Texas.

Further south, heavy rain and storms are expected along the Gulf Coast and the Tennessee River Valley.

Further west – from Texas to Oklahoma and Missouri – rain can turn to snow and ice.

This week, a lot of snow is expected to fall on the western, midwest and southern plains.
