The singer shared a clip of the song re-recorded in her Instagram story, and had a specific resemblance to her teaser “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” in December 2020. Taylor Swift is re-recording songs from her first six albums

After not reaching an agreement to own his music masters for his first albums, Swift said publicly that he is re-recording his music. Now at Universal Music Group, Swift has the masters for his new music in the future, which means that she will have her previous works that she will re-record.

Swift’s first re-recorded album will be Fearless, that she shared an ad on Instagram on February 11th. Fans predicted that Fearless will be released on April 9, according to a hidden message in Swift’s post. The first re-recording that Swift released to the public was “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)”. She released the single on February 12th.

But before officially launching the new version of “Love Story”, fans were able to hear the song in a preview first. They heard it in a commercial.

On December 2, 2020, Ryan Reynolds shared a commercial for dating company Match. It appeared to be just an ad, but when the Swifties showed the video, they realized that the commercial featured audio for the re-recorded “Love Story”. This was the first time that Swift fans heard any of Swift’s re-recordings and signaled that “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” would be the first release.

His music re-recorded in a commercial pointed to a new era for Swift’s music. Now that she owns the rights to her oldest songs through the re-recordings, Swift is licensing them for use on television and in films, with which she will profit.

And “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” may have been the first re-recording to debut in a commercial. But it was not the last.

As with “Love Story (Taylor’s Version),” Swift’s newest re-recording can be heard for the first time in a commercial. The singer has yet to announce the release of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)”, but if the previous single was a precedent, fans should be able to hear the full song in a few months.

So far, Swift is running for several Grammy awards at the March 14 music ceremony. She was nominated for several awards on her album folklore, and fans will cheer for the mega-star.
