LAKE COUNTY, Florida. Lake Square Mall and an Amazon distribution depot car park will host the Lake County Health Department’s newest coronavirus vaccine locations, the agency announced on Tuesday.

To make an appointment, eligible individuals can call 866-201-6909 or 833-476-1031 for those with hearing impairment. The Lake County Commissioners Council said on Tuesday that the county is now participating in the state’s vaccine nomination system, using that number.

Appointments begin at the new location within the old Sears department store at 8 am on Wednesday. Only in the first week, the first doses will be offered at the place of care.

“We want to remind the public that our immunization plan is long-term,” said DOH in a press release. “People who cannot receive a vaccine during this first phase will have an opportunity as we continue and expand our efforts.”

People must be able to prove residence in Florida by identifying themselves or bringing two other items, including housing documents or an account, showing that you live in Florida for more than 30 days a year.

On Tuesday, the Florida Department of Health in Lake County began administering second doses of the Modern vaccine at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mount Dora. This site is not offering the first doses, but only the booster for people who received their first injection of Moderna at a Lake County vaccine site.

At the end of the day, the county DOH announced that second doses would be administered to those who need their Pfizer booster injection at an Amazon distribution site in Groveland. The place will also offer first doses in the morning, but afternoon places will be reserved for those who need backup.

“Drive and park for vaccination, the afternoon space is only for the second dose”, according to a press release.

As soon as the parking reaches maximum capacity, the line will close for new traffic.

The Groveland website opens at 8 am on Wednesday at 7453 Republic Drive.

People who have already had their first chance in Lake County, both Pfizer and Moderna, will be contacted by the department for an interview for the second chance.

According to the DOH vaccine report, Lake County administered more than 32,000 first doses of the vaccine as of Monday. More than 2,300 people in the county completed inoculation with the booster, according to the report.
