New Teaser from The Falcon and Winter Soldier presents a new look at the US agent

One month from today, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier arrives at Disney +, reintroducing fans to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) in an independent series set some time later Avengers: Endgame. To celebrate the anniversary, Marvel Studios released another quick teaser as a small gift for fans. Among other new character scenes we’ve seen, the teaser also includes a quick scene from the US Agent (Wyatt Russell).

Interestingly, Russell’s character has been kept out of marketing until now, as the exact same scene has been used in all teasers so far. Now, you can see the character around the 17-second mark in the teaser, which can be seen in its entirety above.

The suspension of any major US Agent-related take is a particularly interesting choice, as Mackie himself said the series is largely about a battle for the rightful owner of Captain America’s iconic star and stripes shield.

“See, at the end of Endgame, Sam didn’t accept the shield. If you remember, he said to Steve [Rogers], ‘It doesn’t feel right because the shield is yours.’ So, the show is a long way to discover who Captain America will be ”, revealed Mackie. “Where the shield will end. And, who will be Captain America, and that nickname will come back. Will anyone use that nickname again? “

“It’s a very good show, I was worried when I heard it was broadcasting,” began Mackie. “That quality would be lost. That it would turn into an idea of what these films could be, and they wouldn’t be able to do the action sequences, and give us the look we’re used to when it comes to these Marvel films. The action sequences are mind-boggling. The story is great, you really know the characters and fall in love with them. As you can see with WandaVision. It just takes you further in the universe. So, it won’t disappoint. I’m excited for people to see it. “

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuts on Disney + starting on March 19.
