New Super Nintendo World commercial shows Mario Kart Ride

With the calendar now approaching 2021, the Super Nintendo World is officially scheduled to launch this year at Universal Studios in Japan. Before the park opens in just a few months, however, Nintendo is now giving potential visitors another taste of that they can expect from the location in a new ad.

Spotted in a new commercial, Nintendo took a fresh look at the biggest tour the Super Nintendo World has apparently offered since the beginning. The tour revolves around the iconic Nintendo racing franchise Mario Kart and will allow park goers to get on a real-world kart and zoom in on a virtual race track. You can take a look at the new commercial mentioned in the tweet below.

Obviously, what is being shown in this video is not what Mario Kart’s ride itself will end up looking like. If that happened, well, it would be very mind-blowing. The kart itself that appears in this video appears to be exactly the same as the one that fans will be able to enter the Super Nintendo World, so there’s that.

In addition to this Mario Kart ride, the Super Nintendo World will be proud of a ton of other surprises that longtime Nintendo fans will surely enjoy. In addition to the whole park being filled with Mario’s beloved iconography, those who visit him will also be able to earn virtual gold coins, participate in various activities and eat food that reflects what you can find in the Mushroom Kingdom. All in all, it looks like it will be quite fun.

The Super Nintendo World is scheduled to finally open at Universal Studios Japan later this year, on February 4, 2021. Although this is the first such venue in the world, the same experience is expected to reach Universal’s parks in the United States in future . To keep up to date with future developments, you can continue to follow our park coverage right here.
