The last character to join the list of Skullgirls 2nd Encore will be Annie of the Stars. Although it has already been announced that it will join the list at some point in 2021, the developers of Hidden Variable have narrowed the launch window. Annie of the Stars will appear in Skullgirls 2nd Encore early 2021. Along with this teaser trailer, Hidden Zero sparked a new future character for Skullgirls 2nd Encore.
Annie will be available through the Steam client on the PC first for early access. Once the developers have made enough adjustments to be satisfied with the character, the announcement for the full release of the DLC on other platforms will follow. You can watch the teaser trailer below.
In addition, the developers confirmed that another character will enter Skullgirls 2nd Encore. At the end of the teaser trailer for Annie of the Stars, viewers received confirmation that another character is currently in development. The official Hidden Variable forum post mentions that more information about this new character will appear at some point in the future. In parallel, the official forum publishes links to three images and encourages users to speculate on who or what this new addition might be.
Skullgirls 2nd Encore is available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
