Aston Martin Vantage Safety Car and DBX Medical Car revealed

The Aston Martin Vantage’s four-liter twin-turbo V8 has been upgraded to produce 527 hp and a revised front splitter means it now generates 155.6 kg of downforce at 200 km / h. It has the same shade of green as the team’s Formula 1 car, the AMR21, which was revealed last week.

Aston Martin is also supplying a DBX to serve as the official F1 medical car. In addition to producing 542 hp, the DBX has 632 liters of luggage compartment to transport the safety equipment of the medical team.

As revealed by RaceFans last year, Aston Martin will supply the course’s official cars as 12 of the 23 races planned on the 2021 F1 calendar, while Mercedes vehicles will continue to be used in the other rounds.

Kral ‘clarifies’ comments on Binotto

Former GP2 driver Josef Kral, now a Ferrari GT driver, retracted comments he made last week, indicating that Mattia Binotto, head of the manufacturer’s F1 team, would be replaced.

“Some of my recent comments about Scuderia Ferrari have been misinterpreted and taken out of context,” said Kral in a statement on social media. “What I said was based on my own opinion and with no real basis or information.

“I apologize if these speculations have created any problems.”

Ferrari is due to introduce the SF21, its new car for next season, on Wednesday.
