New Pokémon Snap release date announced in latest trailer

New Pokémon Snap was announced for Nintendo Switch last year and then we heard absolutely nothing about it. So far, of course.

A new game trailer has been released, showing more of the game and revealing the release date, which is not far away – April 30th.

The gameplay is very similar to the iconic original Nintendo 64 game, with a path on trails dotted with adorable monsters to take pictures. There are ways to interact with them, like throwing food for them to eat (or setting fire, as Torchic does in a lovely time).

At the end of each stage, a teacher will judge your photos and give you a bad grade because they don’t appreciate good composition (we to know it’s not directly in the center, Oak, it’s cinematic!).

A new feature is called the Illumina Phenomenon, which makes the Pokémon shine for some reason.

We don’t know if this is the only new feature, or more are being kept secret for now, but it is a new one Pokémon Snap game, and we’re really excited.

2021 marks the 25th anniversary of all Pokémon franchise, with much planned. As well as many goods, a musical collaboration with stars like Katy Perry was announced, while remakes of Nintendo DS entrances Diamond and Pearl were heavily rumored.

New Pokémon Snap will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch on April 30.
