New photos show Oppo’s next 5G flagship just days before launch

Surface photos of Oppo’s three new Find X3 phones

So, let’s start with the Oppo Find X3 Pro, the trio’s flagship phone. The device will carry a 6.7-inch 1440p AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5 with a 120Hz refresh rate. For those unfamiliar with the term, it just means that the screen is updated 120 times per second, as opposed to the default 60 times per second. With a refresh rate of 120 Hz, the scrolling and animation of the game is as smooth as a Tyler Herro 3-pointer (sorry for Steph fans). However, there is a downside, and a high refresh rate can drain your battery, just as Tyler Herro drains 3 points. Combine that with the power needed to run 5G connectivity and hopefully the 4500mAh battery inside the device will provide a full day of power. With the 65 W fast charge, however, it won’t take long to charge the battery to a level you feel comfortable with. And the phone supports wireless charging.

The Find X3 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 888 5 nm, manufactured by Samsung Foundry. This is the top-of-the-range Snapdragon chip at the moment (possibly to be misused later this year by a Snapdragon 888+). The device carries 12 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage and there is a fingerprint reader on the display. At the rear, you’ll find a 50 MP wide-angle camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 13 MP periscope zoom and a 5 MP microlense that captures certain photographic data. This will help the device provide 5x hybrid and 20x digital zoom. A 32 MP front snapper handles selfies and the device has an input protection rating of IP68.

On March 11, we will also see Oppo present the Find X3 Neo. The manufacturer shreds some of the most important shelf specifications found on the Find X3 Pro, reducing the display to 6.5 inches of Gorilla Glass 5 protected by AMOLED. The Oppo also lowers the resolution to 1080p, and while it is still faster than the standard 60 Hz, the Find X3 Neo updates the screen at 90 Hz or 90 times per second instead of the flagship 120 Hz. The chipset is the top-of-the-line silicon, but from a generation ago; it would be the 7 nm Snapdragon 865, which comes with 12 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage. The fingerprint reader on the display remains. Oppo also maintains the same 32MP selfie snapper on this model, but the rear camera array has been changed. The main camera weighs 50 MP, but the ultra wide-angle camera now has 16 MP, and the microlenses have been removed and replaced with 2 MP macro lenses. The same 4500mAh battery found in the Find X3 Pro is powering the Find X3 Neo. The IP rating has dropped to IPx4, but this model also supports 5G.

The Oppo Find X3 Lite will be enabled for 5G like the other two models. The 6.44-inch screen has Gorilla Glass protection, but it’s Gorilla Glass 3, not GG 5 like the other two devices. It also has a 1080p resolution and is powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 765G chipset; this is the same component that runs Pixel 5. The Find X3 Lite is enabled for 5G and has a fingerprint reader on the display like the other two models. It has 8 GB of memory along with 128 GB of storage. There is a main camera of 64 MP, an ultra-wide snapper of 8 MP, a macro sensor of 2 MP and another sensor of 2 MP for depth. Keeping the lights on is a 4300mAh battery. The IP52 rating means you should try to keep your phone dry.

Although the price is unknown now, last year’s Pro, Neo and Lite were priced at $ 1,050, $ 835, $ 520, respectively.
