Saints running backs coach Joel Thomas will not travel or train in Sunday’s game at Carolina. Its functions will be assumed by the offensive technical team.
Santos (11-4) will play against Panthers (5-10) 15:25 on Sunday at the end of the regular season. New Orleans, winner of the NFC South for the fourth consecutive season, still has a chance to be first in the NFC playoffs and cannot finish worse than the third.
Earlier this week, Saints announced that running back Alvin Kamara and defensive back CJ Gardner-Johnson were placed on the Covid-19 list. None of them will play on Sunday.
