New Moto Wear OS watch with Snapdragon 4100 appears

It was discovered last week that more Moto smartwatches will arrive this year. An investor presentation showed three upcoming Moto Wear devices, but a fourth that appears to use the Snapdragon Wear 4100 was also subtly shown.

A product roadmap for 2021 said that a “Moto G Smartwatch” would arrive in June, while July would see “Moto Watch” and “Moto One”. The presentation features images of the clock, even on the second page.

Some have now noticed that the outer ring of this nameless watch – after several visual adjustments – says “Snapdragon Wear 4100”.

Today’s Moto 360 is printed with “Wear 3100” in a different position, while this mysterious white watch also observes the standard presence of GPS, NFC and gives an ATM water resistance rating that can be “3” or “5 ”As some have speculated.

The heart rate sensor appears to be practically the same, but the bottom is transparent to reveal a charging coil that indicates that the Moto may be moving away from the pogo pins for wireless power. Other minor adjustments see the crown with vertical grooves – instead of curves, while there are visible screws securing the watch straps.

We have another view of these two adjustments of another white Wear OS watch seen at the end of this presentation. This is probably the same Snapdragon Wear 4100 device, but seen from the front. This photo has an interesting watermark with “2020102301”.

This device, assuming it is real and not just a rendering, does not appear in the next script – these three products do not have extruded circular buttons. As such, the watch we are seeing may be a continuation of the Moto 360 and, as an existing product, should not be included on that slide.

There is only one Wear 4100 watch on the market today with the latest offers from Fossil still using the 3100. If that device materializes, Moto will add the necessary choice and competition to the Wear OS space. It is unclear when this possible successor to the Moto 360 will be launched.
