New Mexico reports 6 new deaths, 236 additional cases of COVID-19

  • A man in his 70s in Bernalillo County. The individual had underlying conditions.
  • Woman in her 50s from the county of Chaves. The individual had underlying conditions.
  • A woman in her 70s in Luna County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying diseases.
  • A woman in her 40s in Sandoval County. The individual had underlying conditions.
  • A man in his 60s in the county of San Juan. The individual had underlying conditions.

The death toll of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 3,845.

In addition to the deaths, the state reported 236 additional cases of COVID-19. As of Thursday, New Mexico had reported a total of 187,720 cases.

  • 77 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 3 new cases in the municipality of Chaves
  • 4 new cases in Cibola County
  • 5 new cases in Curry County
  • 36 new cases in Doña Ana County
  • 7 new cases in Eddy County
  • 11 new cases in Grant County
  • 1 new case in Lea County
  • 3 new cases in Lincoln County
  • 1 new case in Los Alamos County
  • 4 new cases in Luna County
  • 6 new cases in McKinley County
  • 1 new case in Mora County
  • 9 new cases in Otero County
  • 1 new case in Quay County
  • 6 new cases in the municipality of Rio Arriba
  • 5 new cases in Sandoval County
  • 18 new cases in San Juan County
  • 2 new cases in San Miguel County
  • 15 new cases in Santa Fe County
  • 2 new cases in Taos County
  • 2 new cases in the county of Valencia
  • 2 new cases among inmates from the New Mexico Department of Corrections at the New Mexico Correctional Center in Valencia County
  • 15 New Cases Among New Mexico Department of Corrections Inmates at Lea County Correctional Center

KOB 4 determined that there was a positive result of 1.8% of the tests analyzed in Thursday’s state report.

The state reports that 130 people are being hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19.

As of Thursday, there were 161,650 cases of COVID-19 designated as recovered by the New Mexico Department of Health.
