Eighteen additional deaths from COVID-19

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials announced on Friday 306 additional cases of COVID-19. According to the State Department of Health, the most recent cases are:

· A man in his 40s in Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized.

· Woman in her 70s in Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying diseases.

· A man in his 80s in Lea County. The individual had underlying diseases and was a resident of Lovington health center in Lovington.

· A woman in her 50s from Luna County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying diseases.

· A woman in her 60s from McKinley County. The individual had underlying conditions.

· A man in his 60s from McKinley County. The individual had underlying conditions.

· A 70-year-old man from McKinley County. The individual was hospitalized.

· Woman in her 60s in the municipality of Rio Arriba. The individual was hospitalized.

· Man in his 70s in the municipality of Rio Arriba. The individual had underlying conditions.

· A man in his 70s in Sandoval County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying diseases.

· A second man in his 70s in Sandoval County. The individual had underlying diseases and was a resident of The Retreat health center in Rio Rancho.

· A man in his 40s in the county of San Juan. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying diseases.

· A 60-year-old man from San Juan County. The individual had underlying conditions.

The death toll of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 3,787.

The Department of Health has detected spread across the community in the state of New Mexico and is investigating cases with no known exposure. The agency reports that, given the infectious nature of the virus, other residents are likely to be infected, but have not yet been tested or confirmed as positive.
