New Jersey owners are offering free memberships to people who don’t get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Frank Trumbetti and Ian Smith, the owners of Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, NJ, on Tuesday continued to resist mitigation efforts in the midst of the pandemic with their new offering.
“In light of @Krispy Kreme giving free donuts to receive the CVD injection, here at @TheAtilisGym we’re giving away free subscriptions to everyone who’s not vaccinated, ”Smith wrote in a tweet on Tuesday.
“We believe in health – the real way – exercise, good nutrition, plenty of vitamin D, zinc and an environment to de-stress,” he continued.

Krispy Kreme announced on Monday that anyone who could present a valid COVID-19 vaccination card could receive an original glazed donut for free “anytime, any day, even every day – until the rest of 2021.”
New Jersey academy owners made headlines several times during the pandemic, challenging government regulations on the coronavirus.
In August, a New Jersey city council voted to terminate the academy’s operating license due to the brothers’ failure to comply with state mandates. The duo was also arrested in July for keeping their businesses open, despite a state order that required the closing of internal academies.
“We all have the right to make a living. We all have the right to really do what we want to do as Americans,” Trumbetti said during an August interview with CNN. “Freedom has been promised. And they really have placed restrictions so oppressive on us that it is simply unacceptable to us.”
The news comes at a time when public health experts continue to encourage Americans to get vaccinated against the coronavirus, warning that, to obtain collective immunity, more than three quarters of the population must be vaccinated.
Several states, including Texas and Mississippi, have lifted restrictions on coronavirus, despite warnings from experts that it may cause an increase in the midst of vaccination efforts.
