New iPhone feature reveals whether someone is HOLDING your exact movements

APPLE is working on a new feature for its Find My app that can let you know if someone is chasing you.

The setting is called “Item Security Alerts” and informs the user if an unknown device traveling with it is being tracked in Find My.

The feature then allows you to disable the suspect device.

The ‘unknown device’ is thought to be referring to rumors of AirTag products that Apple has not yet announced.

It is rumored that airTags are block-like devices that you can attach to items you frequently miss and then use your phone to find them.

However, there have been some concerns that a device like this could be used to stalk and track a human if you attach an AirTag to it without his knowledge.

The new feature was discovered in the beta version of Find My app

The potential security feature to prevent this problem was identified in the beta version of iOS 14.5.

The setting is supposed to be enabled by default in the trial version of Apple software.

You can disable the setting, but you will receive a warning that unknown devices can see your location without your knowledge.

Benjamin Mayo, Apple blogger tweeted: “Something I hadn’t considered before: the new beta includes a Security setting for the item in Find My.

“This is how Apple is trying to avoid ‘chase’ with AirTags.

“If someone secretly hides a tag on your belongings, your phone will notice and let you know about it.”

Mayo and other Apple fans think the feature means that AirTags may be on the way.

However, Apple may just be creating the security feature to protect people from being tracked by devices that can already be found with the Find My app.

This includes iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches.

As with all the rumors and features of Apple tested in beta, we cannot be sure that the feature or airTags long suspected will reach the market until the official word from Apple.

IPhone tricks to try today

Here are some of the best …

  • Typing cursor – While typing, press and hold the space bar to turn your keyboard into a trackpad, allowing you to move words and phrases more easily
  • Close all Safari tabs – To do this at once, simply hold the overlapping squares in the bottom right corner and press to close all guides
  • Delete lots of photos quickly – Hold a photo and drag your finger diagonally across Photos to select multiple images at once, then press Delete
  • Convert currency quickly – Swipe from top to bottom on the home screen (or swipe from left to right on an iPhone X or later model), tap the bar and enter a currency (like $ 200) and it will be automatically converted to your local currency
  • Check if you need a battery upgrade – The batteries inside smartphones degrade over time. Just go to Settings> Battery> Battery health and check the maximum capacity reading. Generally, a battery is considered to be exhausted when you are at 80% capacity. If you’re below, you can buy a battery change from Apple
  • Move apps faster – Hold an app until it starts to swing, then (while still holding) tap other apps, making them stack up so you can move them around more easily
