There seems to be a new Halo “project” under development on Xbox.
Over the weekend, Microsoft listed a new producer role in Redmond, Washington on 343 Industries through its website, developer of the Halo franchise after Halo 3. “343 Industries is looking for a producer to help develop a new project in the universe Halo, “The official job description says, suggesting that the newcomer is working on a new, unannounced Halo project under development in the studio.
Due to the text of the job description, it is extremely unlikely that the new producer will be hired to work on Halo Infinite, which is approaching the final stretch of development and with the goal of being released later this year, after the delay of Halo Infinite on last year. It is also extremely unlikely that a new producer will be introduced to Halo Infinite so late in development.
Last week, we heard how all the content related to the Halo Infinite launch sandbox is in the base game and being tested daily by the development team. This is just the first in a series of planned 343 updates around the next game, with the developer planning to be more communicative next year, releasing news about the game every month. This would certainly help to alleviate fan concerns after a long period of silence from the developer on the radio last year.
Currently, Halo Infinite is scheduled to launch sometime in the fall of 2021 and will arrive on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Go to our preview of Big in 2021 Halo Infinite for more information on the long-awaited next generation Halo game.
