Nets star in the All-Star range

Kevin Durant won’t be joining the Red Nets anytime soon.

Durant will lose at least three more games and will only return after the NBA All-Star break, the team announced on Friday. The determination that he needs a longer recovery period was made after a routine MRI scan of the left hamstring.

“The latest images provided a clearer picture of the hamstring and, although we are confident that Durant will return at full strength, this extra recovery time will allow him to reach the level he has been playing this season when he returns,” the team said in a statement. “Durant will continue in rehabilitation and will be reevaluated after the break.”

Durant was due to serve as captain on March 7 in the NBA All-Star Game because he was the main voter of the Eastern Conference. This meant calling on 12 players for Team Durant to play against a team recruited by LeBron James. The great Pacers man, Domantas Sabonis, will replace Durant in the All-Star team.

For eight consecutive Nets winners, Durant will lose games against the Mavericks, Spurs and Rockets before a possible comeback on March 11 against the Celtics.
