Nets’ Kyrie Irving criticizes critics on Instagram after two “humiliating” defeats for the Cavaliers

The Brooklyn Nets’ big three debut did not go exactly as planned, as they lost games against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team that holds the league’s third worst offensive ranking. In the first loss to the Cavaliers, a game that doubled in overtime, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden added 96 points, but Brooklyn failed to stop Cleveland on the other side of the court. In the second match, Durant did not play and Irving and Harden were not enough to overcome an uncomfortable Cavs team led by Collin Sexton.

After the second loss to Cleveland, Irving said the 0-2 trip was “two humiliating defeats” as Brooklyn took an intensive course when it realized that it will take some time for this newly formed super team to catch up. However, Irving used Instagram on Saturday morning to remind critics that the Nets are still a team that fights for the championship.

“We will be on that stage. The stage where the best of the best meet. You know, the main stage. Where who can do it and who can’t talk about who is doing it. If you roll with us, great. Let’s Rock. If not, you know you want to talk about our greatness anyway! “

Irving returned to the Nets in that first game against Cleveland, after losing seven consecutive games for personal reasons. When Irving spoke to the media to address his absence, he was short and kind, saying “it’s time to move on”, for the attention around his time off which also resulted in a $ 50,000 fine for a violation of league health and safety protocols.

Adding Harden to the squad, Brooklyn has arguably the most powerful offensive attack in the league, with three of the most polarized personalities to accompany him. There are concerns about how Durant, Irving and Harden will mix in the locker room, and although early results on the court show that chemistry is not yet at its peak, these three just spoke brilliantly of each other. When Irving posted that post on Instagram, Durant responded by agreeing with his teammate, showing that this trio of stars is on the same page.

Brooklyn is more than capable of reaching the NBA finals, but there are some real problems on the defensive side of the ball that need to be resolved before the championship rings are in the future.
