Netflix’s ‘Waffles and Mochi’ Premiere Date – Starring Michelle Obama

The foray of Barack and Michelle Obama on Netflix children’s programming will unfold with the premiere of Waffles + Mochi in Tuesday, March 16.

In the 10-episode children’s cooking series – produced by Higher Ground Productions by the former president and first lady and featuring Mrs. Obama – follows two best friends named Waffles and Mochi, who lived in the depths of The Land of Frozen Food and shared a dream: “To become a chef! The only problem? Everything they cooked was made of ice ”, according to the official synopsis.

“When these two palates are suddenly hired as the youngest employees in an extravagant supermarket,” continues the description, “they are ready for the culinary adventure of a lifetime. With the help of new friendly faces like the owner of the supermarket, Mrs. Obama, and a magical flying shopping cart as a guide, Waffles and Mochi set out on global ingredient missions, traveling to kitchens, restaurants, farms and homes throughout the world, cooking recipes with everyday ingredients alongside renowned chefs, home cooks, children and celebrities. “
