Netflix’s DOTA 2 anime gets a proper teaser trailer full of action against the dragon

Just a few days ago, Netflix announced that it was working on an anime series based on DOTA 2DOTA: Dragon’s Blood – but in that time, the streamer has already released a suitable teaser trailer that really shows the series.

And while the original announcement from the beginning of the week showed only a few seconds of footage, the new trailer is just that – a full teaser of the series featuring characters like Davion, the Dragon Knight whose mission will be at the heart of the show, and Princess Mirana (DOTA 2 players are likely to recognize these names as playable heroes in the popular online game.)

The launch of a new trailer soon makes some sense, however, given the short time that there will be between the announcement of the show and its launch on March 25.

As previously announced, DOTA: dragon’s blood will be produced by Studio MIR, the group behind Legend of Korra and Netflix Voltron: Legendary Defender, with Ashley Edward Miller (co-writer in X-Men: First Class and Thor) serving as a showrunner.

Miller also started teasing some of the series’ cast members on Twitter, revealing earlier this week that the show will feature a mix of popular video game voice actors like Yuri Lowenthal, Troy Baker, Alix Wilton Regan and Kari Wahlgren – appropriate, given the pedigree of franchise games – alongside more traditional TV actors and films like Lara Pulver (Sherlock), Tony Todd (Candyman), Monte Anson (Star Trek: Discovery), and Freya Tingley (Once Upon a time.) More details about the cast and the show should also arrive before the launch next month.
