Cobra Kai, The karate Kid spin-off, it became one of Netflix’s most popular original series after leaving YouTube.
The streamer revealed that it is underway for more than 41 million households to have seen the show’s third season – the first to debut exclusively on Netflix – in the first 28 days. This makes Sony Pictures TV’s drama one of its first ten returns from the original series.
Netflix launched the program’s first two seasons, which takes place 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, which debuted on YouTube last year and the third season was released on January 1.
Over the three seasons, about 73 million Netflix households watched an episode and the third season reached number one in 28 countries, including the U.S., the UK, Argentina, Greece and Sri Lanka.

It is not a big surprise that it performs well; the series, starring Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso and William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence, attracted a lot of media and social media attention and the program broke viewing records when it debuted on YouTube, including 55 million views in its episode of opening.
This is at a time when Netflix starts releasing watch data more regularly, at least in its hit shows. Earlier this month, the streamer noted that Bridgerton it was underway for 63 million families to have assisted it during the first 28 days.
