Neil Magny shoots back at Khamzat Chimaev

Neil Magny does not usually speak ill, but it seems that he makes an exception for Khamzat Chimaev.

Magny accessed Twitter on Monday to reply to a tweet from Chimaev, who mocked Magny for losing to Michael Chiesa on January 20 at UFC on ESPN 20. In a series of posts, Magny (24-7 MMA, 17- 6 UFC) questioned Chimaev’s opposition in the UFC and promised to slap him if they crossed paths.

“Where was that energy a few months ago when you had the opportunity to fight me?” Magny wrote.

“I don’t choose opponents like you, I’ve been fighting the best in the UFC for 8 years. Something you know nothing about.

“Make sure you keep the same energy when you see me in person! I’ll give you my word, that I’m slapping you in the face (hand emoji) and teaching you a little respect! “

Chimaev was supposed to compete in the UFC’s main event on ESPN 20, but his battle to recover from COVID-19 pushed the fight against Leon Edwards back to March 13, causing Chiesa vs. Magny to be promoted to headliner.

Magny’s defeat to Chiesa resulted in three consecutive victories. The 33-year-old still has no yellow card for another UFC fight.
