Neil Magny, Kevin Holland want to face Leon Edwards

The UFC has no shortage of options for a replacement for the UFC Fight Night headliner on January 20, as it looks like Neil Magny and Kevin Holland are willing to join.

After news broke Tuesday morning that Khamzat Chimaev was excluded from his fight between Leon Weld and Leon Edwards, Magny and Holland turned to social media to express interest in replacing Chimaev.

In reply to in a tweet.

Magny (24-7 MMA, 17-6 UFC) is scheduled to fight Michael Chiesa in the main co-fight of the night, making him a potentially more logical option if the UFC seeks a replacement. “The Haitian Sensation” had a good result in 2020 after a 16-month layoff, accumulating three wins over Li Jingliang, Anthony Rocco Martin and, more recently, former UFC champion Robbie Lawler in August.

Holland (21-5 MMA, 8-2 UFC) is coming out of a historic 2020 in which he went 5-0 in a 210-day period, winning four of those strikes by stoppage and culminating in a “KO of the Year” Candidate against Jacaré ”Souza at UFC 256. After the victory, Holland shot Chimaev and expressed interest in fighting him.
