Nebraska Men’s Basketball Pauses Team Activities

Lincoln – The University of Nebraska men’s basketball program interrupted all team activities due to the positive results of COVID-19 among its Level 1 staff. Level 1 staff includes student athletes, coaches and any team member whose work requires regular contact next.

Due to the pause, the Huskers’ home game against Illinois (Wednesday, January 13) was postponed. Institutions will work with the Big Ten Conference to identify reprogramming options. At the moment, no determination has been made on how the break could affect games scheduled after January 13.

Positive test subjects are isolated and follow all Lancaster County and local health guidelines. We will also conduct all necessary procedures included in the Big Ten Conference protocols. Consistent with all of our athletic programs, we report any positive test results to the University, and they are included in your daily reports to the Lancaster County Health Department.
