NCAAW: No. 1 South Carolina seeks to remain undefeated vs. No. 8 NC State

A top 10 bout between No. 1 South Carolina Gamecocks and No. 8 NC State Wolfpack highlights a busy game list that includes No. 24 Michigan Wolverines going on the road to face Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The Gamecocks return to the Colonial Life Arena after two victories in the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic against South Dakota and, at the time, the 21st ranked Gonzaga, after opening the season with an adjustment against the College of Charleston. NC State hits the road for the first time this season, after two home games against North Florida and NC Central.

Both teams have the depth to break each other’s 2-0 record early in the season.

Highlights: SEC player of the week, Destanni Henderson, has a reason to be a stick

Highlights: Kayla Jones is not afraid to lead the pack

The Wolverines opened the season in 25th place and moved up one position after Notre Dame – ranked 22nd at the start of the season – lost at the opening of the season to Ohio, despite Dara Mabrey’s 34 career highlights. Fighting Irish recovered with a convincing victory over Miami (Ohio). For Michigan, it was two easy wins over Central Michigan and Oakland led by junior Naz Hillmon, who scored 61 points at the start of the season, including his 35-point career record against Oakland.

Can the Irish, under coach Niele Ivey in the first year, be able to tie their record with the Wolverines?

Highlights: Top ten player of the week Naz Hillmon bites Wolverines a lot

Highlights: Double-digit efforts can do this for Dame
