NCAA Wrestling Championships 2021 keys: 125 pounds, seeds, matchups, pairings

Here is the 125 pound seed and matchups key for the 2021 NCAA Wrestling Championships.

The 2021 NCAA Championships will be held March 18-20 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis. Rutgers will send five fighters to the event – Sebastian Rivera (141 pounds), Mike VanBrill (149), Jackson Turley (174), John Poznanski (184) and Billy Janzer (197). The pilot will send six – Jonathan Tropea (125), Richie Koehler (133), McKenzie Bell (141), Jesse Dellavecchia (157), Jake Silverstein (165) and Ethan Laird (heavyweight). Princeton will have no fighters at the event, as the Ivy League canceled all winter sports this year.

Thirty-three fighters qualify for each of the 10 pesos. The top 8 finishers earn All-America status.

2021 NCAA Championships

When: 18th to 20th of March.

Where: Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Schedule (all eastern times):

March 18th: Session 1A (first round), 11 am; Session 1B (first round), 14h; Session 2A (second round), 18h; Session 2B (second round), 9:00 pm

March 19th: Session 3 (quarterfinals), 11 am; Session 4 (quarterfinals), 3 pm; Session 5 (semifinals), 8:00 pm

March 20: Session 6 (medal round), 11 am; Session 6 (final), 19h

Back to the national champions (weight this year): Spencer Lee, Iowa (125) *; Mekhi Lewis, Virginia Tech (165).

Champion of the current national team (2019): Penn State.

Future NCAA championship sites: Detroit in 2022, Tulsa in 2023, Kansas City in 2024, Philadelphia in 2025, Cleveland in 2026.
