NBA: Warriors interested in negotiating with Wizards’ Beal

The Wizards have won six of their last seven games. But they are still 12th in the Eastern Conference and the season schedule is not getting any easier.

So the NBA world is focusing on Wizards’ most important story: which teams want to switch to Bradley Beal? Or which teams have a good chance of catching you?

The Golden State Warriors are a team that may be looking to get into the mix, according to Heavy.com, citing a recent podcast from Locked on Warriors, where San Jose Mercury News writer Wes Goldberg suggested that the Golden State could be a possibility.

Unlike most teams, Golden State could afford to help the Wizards rebuild themselves if they switched some coveted players and / or choices like newcomer James Wiseman and took a draft choice from the first round of 2021 or 2022 that was originally the Minnesota Timberwolves’ for Washington. The year is in question because we don’t know where the Timberwolves are going to end this season, although they are almost definitely full, and the lottery draw has not yet happened.

If Beal plays at Golden State, he would form a potentially lethal defense court with point guard Stephen Curry and help put the Warriors back into contention for participation in the Western Conference finals … or better. As for Washington, I think it will be a long road to recovery.

Anyway, as we all know, Beal wants to stay in Washington and the Wizards don’t want to let him go. But do you think the Warriors’ general manager, Bob Myers, or another team’s office can, in Don Vito’s words … “make an offer that Tommy Sheppard can’t refuse?”

After all, most teams want Beal. And … the negotiation deadline is March 25th. The rumors won’t stop until then.
