NBA recap: Wizards win 5 straight wins after the 127-124 OT vs. thriller. Lakers

The Washington Wizards (11-17) defeated the Los Angeles Lakers (22-10) on Monday night (local time), 127-124 in overtime. It is the fifth consecutive victory, this time against the current NBA champion.

As expected, the Wizards were defeated most of the time in regulation, even with Anthony Davis out and the team losing three of their last four games. The Lakers took on a double-digit lead in the second quarter and led by up to 17 at the start of the third.

From there, the Wizards made a comeback and even led for a brief period in fourth place. Okay, let me rephrase. They are back.

They took the lead!

And the leadership continued to grow to 102-94 at one point.

Even though the Lakers managed to come back and tie this game in 115 – all in regulation, Washington never let go of the accelerator, where Bradley Beal continued to make clutch baskets.

And Russell Westbrook had a clutch and a basket to keep things in Washington’s favor in the end.

Beal scored 33 points and gave 6 assists, while Westbrook had 32 points, 14 rebounds and 9 rebounds. They both shot at least 50 percent of the field as well. Among the supporting squad, Deni Avdija had 8 points and 8 rebounds, but appeared to be getting major rebounds when needed. Rui Hachimura also made a good save against LeBron James.

James led the LA scorers with 31 points and 13 assists.

The Wizards will continue their journey against the Los Angeles Clippers tomorrow night at 10 pm ET. Sleepless for the tired, my friends. I have a sample to write, so here’s your place to talk about winning.
