NBA All-Star vote: Klay Thompson rises, Steph Curry remains in the main guard

The fan’s second return to the NBA All-Star vote was released Thursday morning.

And to no one’s surprise, Steph Curry (4,033,050 votes) is still number 1 among all guards and third in the overall standings, behind LeBron James (4,369,533) and Kevin Durant (4,234,433).

But there was a result that we didn’t expect to see.

Klay Thompson – who has been out all season with a broken right Achilles tendon – has moved up to eighth place among the Western Conference guards after registering tenth last week.

This is yet another sign of how much the “Splash Brother” is loved by Warriors fans and the basketball world in general.

As for Curry, he has averaged 34.6 points, 5.4 assists and 5.1 rebounds in his last seven games, while shooting 57.3% overall, 52.4% bottom and 94.6% from free-throw line.

Steve Kerr and Draymond Green believe he is playing the best basketball of his career, and Kent Bazemore declared Steph “the best basketball player now”.

The All-Star voting ends at 8:59 pm Pacific time on February 16, with entries announced two days later.

The All-Star Game will be held on March 7 in Atlanta.
