Nate Diaz does not seem satisfied with what appears to be Dustin Poirier’s next move.
Before UFC 258, Dana White talked to reporters after the official weigh-in for the event and was asked how the lightweight title image would potentially unfold. White said that since his knockout loss at UFC 257 to Poirier last month, Conor McGregor has been “obsessed” with wanting the promotion to mark a trilogy fight between the two. In addition, White states that Poirier also wants the fight and that the plan is to schedule the fight “in the summer”.
Diaz has been summoning a fight with Poirier since the middle of the fight week at UFC 257. Now that plans seem to be underway to go in a different direction, the Stockton, California native has accessed Instagram to send a short message to “ The Diamond ”.

Diaz has not competed since the technical knockout loss at UFC 244 to Jorge Masvidal in November 2019. In a recent interview with ESPN, the 35-year-old said his ideal plan would be to return in the spring with 170 pounds against Poirier or Charles Oliveira, the latter has already said he is not interested in the confrontation.
