Nacon to publish skateboard simulation developed by Crea-ture Studios Session, announced the companies.
Session is currently available on Early Access for PC via Steam and Game Preview for Xbox One via Microsoft Store.
“This deal obviously means a lot of positive things for us, the community and the studio as a whole and beyond what we could expect,” said the crea-ture Studios in a news article. “Better licensing and brand integration, more localization options, more platforms and so on. As you can imagine, the team is going to grow and has already started to grow, which adds to an ever greater and faster development rhythm, bigger goals, but more importantly, allowing us to fulfill the vision we always dreamed for the Session.
The developer also said that upgrading from version 0.0.0.6 to the Early Access version of Session is planned to launch “very close to this month”. Session launched on Early Access in September 2019, with initial plans to stay on Early Access for six to 12 months. A new launch window has not yet been announced.
Here is an overview of Session, via Nacon:
The world of Session celebrates the golden age of skateboarding and faithfully presents the sport’s creativity, culture and crazy nature as it grew in popularity during the 1990s. With realistic physics, the game offers skateboarding gameplay never seen before: the True Stance Stick, where each foot is managed independently using the two controls. The learning curve is as demanding as it is in real life: players first need to practice to learn to control the board and perform all the different stunts included in the game, from the most basic to the most complex. The game has an integrated video editor, so that players can immortalize their biggest hits.
Set in an urban environment with an open world, representing the sport’s iconic locations, skateboard fans can write their own legends while adding their equipment and developing their personal clothing style.
Several hundred thousand players have already got their hands on the current version of this tribute to skateboarding fans and are closely following its development.
