I enlarged the photos of the photos, taken by the Washington Post photographer Jabin Botsford, shows the partially visible notes that seem to mention “martial law, if necessary” and the “Insurrection Law”, a 1806 law that allows the president to mobilize military and National Guard troops to suppress civil disorder or actions by insurrection.

The last time the act was invoked by a president was in 1992, in response to the Los Angeles riots after the acquittal of four white police officers for the beating of Rodney King.

Another line in the notes photographed also suggested moving the Defense Department chief of staff, Kash Patel, to “CIA role”, suggesting a proposal to move Patel to head the intelligence agency with only a few days left from the Trump administration.

The notes also mention Sidney Powell, the pro-Trump lawyer who led several lawsuits questioning the results of the 2020 elections because of unfounded allegations of widespread electoral fraud.

White House officials said The New York Times On Friday, nothing significant to note came from Lindell’s meeting with Trump, which the White House said lasted about five to ten minutes.

Lindell, who is popularly known to many as “the myPillow guy,” has been a vocal advocate for Trump, especially in recent weeks, when the businessman publicized on Twitter Trump’s baseless allegations of a “stolen” election.

On Friday night, Lindell tweeted screenshots of a document that claims to show that Trump won 79 million votes in the 2020 election, compared with 68 million for the president-elect Joe BidenJoe BidenAzar in a farewell letter says riot on Capitol Hill threatens to tarnish administration achievements House Democrats introduce measures to oppose Trump’s sale of bombs to Saudis On The Money: Retail sales fall at the last sign of weakening the economy | Fast-food workers strike for minimum wage | US officials raise concerns about Mexico’s handling of energy licenses MORE. According Associated Press counts, Biden secured more than 81 million votes in the election with Trump at approximately 74 million.

Lindell also on January 6, after the attack by the pro-Trump mob on Capitol Hill, issued several tweets stating that “Antifa is responsible for the attacks”. The FBI said last week there was no evidence suggesting that members of the left movement were involved in the deadly invasion of the Capitol.

The riot followed a “Stop the Steal” demonstration on the National Mall, in which Trump urged his supporters to march to Congress to protest against Biden’s certification of victory. Trump has since been accused by the House on charges of inciting the riot, in which five people died in the chaos.

This week, Lindell’s bedding company continued one Discount code “FightForTrump” for its products, even after Trump first admitted electoral defeat in comments recorded the day after the attack on the Capitol.

Lindell told the Times and The Washington Examiner on Friday that the notes photographed were not, in fact, his own and that he was delivering a message given to him by a lawyer, which Lindell did not identify by name.

“The lawyer said, ‘You can take this to him,'” Lindell told the Times. “It was a lot to help the American people.”

MyPillow did not immediately respond to The Hill’s request for comment on the photographed notes.
