Snider guided the No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet to a 0.085 second victory margin at the end of the Contender Boats 250. He led just three of the 179 laps to claim his first victory on the 1.5-mile track in South Florida.
Former Xfinity Series champion and Cup Series regular Tyler Reddick took home in second place, with Brandon Jones close behind in third. Daniel Hemric took fourth place with Jeb Burton claiming the bottom spot in the top five.
Noah Gragson seemed on his way to victory when his No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet crashed hard on the rear of David Starr’s No. 13 Toyota at Turn 3, with two laps left in the regulation. Starr’s car seemed to have a problem, as it hit the outer retaining wall, right on the way to Gragson’s high line. Gragson finished 34th on the 40 car field, off the pitch after just 165 laps.
That period of caution sent the race into overtime, and Snider jumped to the top spot with quick boxing service from his RCR team.
AJ Allmendinger then champion of the Austin Cindric series won the first two stages, both riding on new tires at the end of the initial 40 lap segments.
The next race of the Xfinity Series is scheduled for March 6 (16:30 ET, FS1, PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
