Multiple shots fired around Warrenton Road Waffle House – The Vicksburg Post

A cold food riot heated up on Saturday morning at Waffle House on Warrenton Road.

Shortly after 2 am, police responded to a call in which two women were causing a disturbance in the temperature of their food. The women were instructed to leave and then escorted out of the restaurant by a security guard.

Once outside, the women would have tried to attack the security guard and spray him with pepper spray. It was also at this time that an unknown man shot three times in the direction of security.

The security guard was not hit and responded to the fire, firing twice in the direction of the unknown.

No one was injured and no arrests were made. A 2012 Toyota Camry parked in front of the restaurant was hit three times.

The restaurant was temporarily closed. According to city officials, chef Milton Moore took a look at the restaurant and gave additional safety recommendations. The restaurant has been allowed to reopen, but restaurant officials are expected to meet with city leaders on Monday to discuss necessary security improvements.
