MSNBC’s Joy Reid revives Russia’s conspiracy theory, argues that Trump was “slavish” to Moscow

MSNBC presenter Joy Reid relived the narrative of Russia’s collusion on the eve of President Trump’s departure from the White House on Tuesday, insisting that no president was more “servile” to a foreign nation than he was to Russia.

“To be clear, we had 45 American presidencies, some good, some great, some terrible,” said Reid as he closed his show on Tuesday night. “But we never had a president like Donald J. Trump.”

The “ReidOut” host suggested that Trump will be remembered as the worst president in American history, raising names like Andrew Jackson and Woodrow Wilson, as well as Richard Nixon.

“No American president … was elected with the help of a foreign power. None of them, let alone a hostile foreign power like Russia,” continued Reid. “And none of them was as servile to a foreign government as Trump was to the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin personally.”

CLINTON, PELOSI THROUGH LEFT FOR CONTINUING TO PRESS ‘RUSSIAGUE’: THEY WILL NEVER GIVE UP ‘

Reid is not the only prominent liberal to revive the “Russiagate” conspiracy theory this week. On Monday, Hillary Clinton suggested to mayor Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., In her podcast that Russia was involved in the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill.

“I hope, historically, that we can find out who he owes, who pulls his chopsticks. I would love to see his phone records to see if he was talking to [Russian President Vladimir] Putin on the day that insurgents invaded our Capitol, “said Clinton.

The former secretary of state then asked Pelosi if she agreed to the creation of a “9/11 type commission” to investigate “everything” that happened.

“Yes,” Pelosi responded quickly, before reiterating his belief that “all roads lead to Putin” as far as President Trump is concerned.

“I don’t know what Putin has about him politically, financially or personally, but what happened last week was a gift to Putin, because Putin wants to undermine democracy in our country and around the world,” said the spokesman. “And these people, unbeknownst to them, are puppets of Putin.”
