NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will soon obtain mining-specific variants from leading manufacturers. MSI is one of those manufacturers, as its GeForce RTX 30 line for mining appeared in the EEC database.
AIBs Preparing GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics cards specifically for cryptographic mining?
The cryptocurrency market has been a roller coaster ride in recent weeks, has seen ups and downs, but demand is coming from within the industry for more graphics cards. NVIDIA may have sold a large stock of its Ampere GPUs directly to retailers, but manufacturers are also following a similar process.
MSI was spotted shipping two new cryptographic graphics cards to mining at EEC. These cards include the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Miner that comes with standard and factory overclocked versions. The graphics cards are based on the GA104-200-A1 GPU which has 4864 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory that runs on a 256-bit bus interface at a clock speed of 14.0 Gbps. The board has a nominal TDP of 200W and sells for $ 399 however, we still don’t know the prices for specific mining variants.
With a custom power limit of 120W, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti can provide a mining hash rate of around 50-60 MH / s. Since the video card is available in better quantities than the more advanced models GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3080 and GeForce RTX 3090, there is a good reason why the RTX 3060 Ti is a popular product in the mining segment.
It is not known when the two mining models will be launched on the market, but AIBs like MSI will try to take advantage of the situation while mining fashion is still hot. We have already seen how some miners went crazy with the recent wave, assembling a device with a total of 78 GeForce RTX 3080 video cards, more about that here.
