“When I was 16, all I cared about was destroying the patriarchy and burning it up,” says Amy Poehler in the trailer for the teen film grrrl-power Moxie, your accompanying director for Wine Country. Poehler plays Vivian’s cool mom (Hadley Robinson), who starts a feminist zine to protest the extremely sexist rules of her school, where boys rank girls on lists of likes and girls are sent home for wearing tops. It is one of those teen films in which adults threaten to be more interesting than children, not least because the teachers are represented by Marcia Gay Harden (strict director) and Ike Barinholtz (confused teacher). Based on the novel YA 2017 by Jennifer Mathieu, this Netflick starts airing on March 3 to teach children about physical media.
